Finally some rain.
9th of July – Last week we finally got some rain, great, but it only lasted for no more than a day, the rest of the week came with bright shining sun again like have been in Iceland the last 2 months. The water level still a bit low, but plenty though so worries about that.
Sigurdur a young man from Iceland came to the West Ranga river hoping to catch his first Atlantic salmon.
After losing 3 salmon and one of them was 90-100 cm witch he had fought for fifty minutes, he finally landed his first, a beautiful 16 pounder, he was overjoyed and he bursted out “I’m definitely coming back to the West Ranga river” really nice to see how much happiness a nice salmon can give to a angler.
The last high tide this week also brought in some sealiced grilse we are looking forward to see much more of these fish in the river in the weeks to come, then one thing is for sure, someone is in for an adventure.
As always really nice and beautiful scenery on the West Ranga river.
